Vacation (Holidays)

Russ is finally on his holidays (or vacation as we say in the States). He has two weeks off and I’m pleased to have him home with me. He always lines up projects to complete so this time it’s putting in a concrete sidewalk. He does it by placing “slabs” so it is hard work as it has to be dug out first.

Family Parties

It was a birthday celebration and Russ and I were invited. I should have been happy about that. Why? Well, that they thought enough of us to invite us. Or perhaps that we were the only folks there that was not family so we must have been special. But I was sad.

Neighbors (or Neighbours)

Being a good neighbor means different things to different people. To me, a good neighbor is there when they are needed and not when they are not. How to accomplish this is a fine balancing act.

Holding Hands

One of the first things I noticed when I first moved to England in 2000 is that everyone was holding hands. No matter the age, they were holding hands as they walked along. I kept thinking it was because I just happened to notice more.

My Journey Continues

My life has been one long journey and I’m pleased with things so far. There has been many a bump in the road but what I am realizing as I get older is each one of those bumps teach me a new lesson and we never stop learning.

Let’s see where the journey takes me from here.
